Position : Dotnet Developer
Location : Chicago O'Hare
Description:
Software Engineer will be responsible for software requirements gathering, technical design, development, troubleshooting, testing, debugging, and implementation of new programs/technologies in order to provide quality IT services to user departments. Software engineers with more experience may manage small project teams on a per-project basis.
Essential Functions:
- Works with end users and internal staff to ensure programs meets our business goals and are developed according to business requirements.
- Writes application code from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards.
- Writes or revises program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in accordance with standards.
- Designs and executes unit and system tests and assists with other phases of testing.
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Must be able to handle all types of highly confidential information and develop software with appropriate precautions for handling such information.
- Must have 3+ years of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET programming experience in either VB.NET or C# (preferably both) on both Windows and web applications.
- Must have experience with Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2008).
- Must have experience with MVC, JQuery, and AJAX.
- Ideally will possess experience with XML and XSLT.
- Ideally familiar with mobile application development.
- Must be able to work individually and as a part of a team.
