VB 6.0 - SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Responsibilities:
Will design, develop and maintain software using VB6.0 & SQL server 2005 technologies. Candidates must have excellent analytical skills as well as a solid object oriented programming, good knowledge of project life cycles, large project experience, and the ability to mentor junior developers. Must be able to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the software delivered matches the business communities’ needs. Must also be able to design and develop software in a group or independently. Must be able to conduct and assist in design and development reviews. Should be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources.

Qualifications Needed:
• Good communication skills.
• 2+ years experience in application development.
• 2+ years Microsoft Development experience using: Visual Basic and SQL Server (must include current versions).
• 2+ years experience with ADO, Active X, COM, RDO, Win 32 API.
• Bachelors/Engineering degree or higher in CS, CIS or related
• MCSD Certification preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• 2+ years experience in application development.
• 2+ years Microsoft Development experience using: Visual Basic and SQL Server (must include current versions).

• Previous experience in COM/ASP and/or C++ development environments.
• Experience in Crystal Reports 11R2
• Knowledge in OO development principles, multi-tier web application design and relational database principles required.
• History of delivering XML-based, Component-Based and Multi-Threaded applications to production.
• Practical experience with Design Patterns and COD principles and methods Fluency with UML (Optional).
• Experience working in large project team development environments.
• Experience working in an Agile and Waterfall development environments.
• Database development (table and stored procedure design) using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Fluency in English - excellent written and verbal skills.
• Experience working in a regionally distributed development group.
• knowledge of the .Net Framework and the Core Libraries. (Added advantage).
